Imagine Dragons: How to Succeed Without Losing Your Soul
I have enjoyed Imagine Dragons for years and thought the musicians in the band should get a book deal. For the brief, I was instructed to create a new logo using their band name and a fictitious book name based on their popular song Demons.
I wanted to get some contrast going to symbolize heaven and hell. I colored Succeed and Losing with the green of money and red of fire to symbolize the heaven and hell concept again along with fire and clouds. and added some bling to Soul as well as a pair of wings. On the spine, to help with readability I also broke up the title to the logo in fire, "How to succeed without" in white and "Losing your soul" in black with a wing and clouds to help provide contrast. On the back cover, I included a picture of the group from Stubhub.com, a copy of the Penguin Random House logo from Underconsideration.com, and the back blurb for the cover from ImagineDragonsMusic.com which I used a sans serif to make the readability better. UPC and the rest of the pictures were downloaded from my accounts on Envato and FreePik.com. To help keep the back from being bland I also included some fire and clouds, at very low opacities so it would add some texture. I used masks, converted objects (letters) to smart objects, and duplicated many aspects to create this project.

Boots album by Madeline Hawthorne
The brief was to create a cd cover for an artist and I chose to create a different album cover of Madeline Hawthorne's entitled Boots. Using Photoshop, I edited several clipart samples of boots with one including multiple pictures of Madeline and used masks for her to appear on the boots themselves. I also converted a picture to black and white and then added my own colors to the picture on the back cover. I also utilized various filters including oil painting on the boots to give them a more western feel.
